The 2011 Legislative Session is underway and we have not one but two bills being introduced in both the House and the Senate fighting for Health Care Freedom in Wyoming! Now is the time to band together and let our voices be heard! This year we have a handful of bills we will be sending updates and alerts on and we are asking for your support. We must stay engaged to ensure that Health Care Freedom Legislation is not killed during Committee or during readings on the floor!

Senator Scott also voted against Health Care Freedom in 2010 and instead passed a State version of Obama Care called “Healthy Frontiers”! To read more about State Style Obama-care go to this link.

This year Senator Scott is sponsoring a bill called

“Health Care Freedom-2 SJ0003”. However it is far from protecting our Health Care Freedoms! Instead mixed in the language of this bill are lines like “The State Shall have the power to…” regulate health care, protect the public from disease, ect. This kind of language is just as dangerous and unconstitutional as giving the Federal government too much power in regulating our Health Care! We don’t need our State government regulating our health care to any further extent than they already are.

It is not surprising that Senator Scott supports SJ0003 a tainted health care bill, after passing the Healthy Frontiers Program during last year’s legislative session that not only expanded the state’s involvement in health care, but suggested accepting more federal funds if need be for Health Care in Wyoming! Here is Senator Scotts Quote in the Bill that Passed “Healthy Frontiers” into law last year.

“(c)  The project may, with the consent of the governor, accept federal funds for the purposes of this act provided the conditions on receipt of the federal funds are not inconsistent with this act and do not impair the integrity of the pilot project under this act.”.  SCOTT, CHAIRMAN
